Merry Christmas, Star-counters!
I know today will be hard from some of us. We’ll be reminded of our dream for children and then faced with emptiness on Christmas morning. Family members may say insensitive things and emotions may be elevated. My prayer for you this Christmas is that you would know that you’re not alone and the God has a plan and purpose for your life.
May the most important baby ever born fill your hearts and bring you peace.

Thank you for your constant encouragement. I recently began a new blog solely devoted to my journey through infertility (http://teardropsfalling.wordpress.com/) and listed your blog under my “Resources” tab. You have helped me along so much! Thank you!
Lauren, I’m so glad to hear you started a blog too!! It’s been really therapeutic for us. Thanks for listing us under your resources- I promise we’ll be posting more soon!
I pray with good, fertility miracle news!
Let me preface this by saying I’m not Christian, so if it’s just one of those things I don’t get, that’s okay. I was at services on Christmas eve with my husband’s family (he is Protestant of some type, probably but not necessarily Congregationalist) and they did a Christmas story pageant with the children (which is why we go, our niece and nephew were in it). In it they referred to Mary as an ignorant and uneducated teen. While I agree she was probably a teenager, is it common to believe she was ignorant and uneducated? This is the first I’ve heard of it. Young women of the time were often educated to the some degree according to their family position. I’ve not done any specific research, although if it’s going to be bother me this much that I’m still thinking about it a week later, perhaps I should.
I’m blessed by your star counting and focused eyes on Jesus! Thank you!
It’s so true. I get all emotional right after our family Xmas party. Not that they really said anything insensitive. But just something that bugs us, knowing that there is someone missing in our lives. I hope your (our) dream of a child comes to pass soon. Thank you for your sharing!
Praying for babies for both of us in 2012!!
Thank you, Sarah. You are in my prayers as well.
Thanks, Jenna! I really appreciate those prayers.
